Come try our North Carolina raised Bison Burgers!

We got to tour Carolina Bison ranch the day after the Southern Foods Spring Food Show. The trip was put together by our friends at Certified Angus Beef and Southern Foods. The bison are absolutely huge, when viewed up close. We were told that they can jump up to five feet in the air from a standing postition. Needless to say that did not make us feel to comfortable in the back of a shallow trailer being hauled by a pickup truck. I was also told they can run up to 40 miles per hour. So if one had jumped in the trailor, I know that I couldn't out run the bison. I just hope I could out run everyone in the trailor.

New Menu and our 5th annual "Throw Me Somethin' Mister" Mardi Gras menu coming soon!

We will be launching our new menu on Monday, January 30th. We have added some new menu items including, house smoke pulled pork b-b-que, grilled shrimp salad, Big South fries (Fries topped with pimento cheese and smoked pork shoulder). We also have started making our own veggie burgers. The Garden burger has been replaced with a house made black bean burger topped with fresh tomato salsa and chili-lime sour cream.

Our annual Mardi Gras menus begins February 14th and runs through March 14th. Check out the menu on our website or go to facebook and find it under fincastles downtown. We are in the process of putting together some fun events for Fat Tuesday, February 21. Stay Tuned. Best, JOdy
